Feeling good and not just “meh” is more attainable than you realize!

These days it seems that everyone feels tired and stressed, and if they’re being honest, sometimes a little depressed and anxious (or if they’re being really honest, they feel that way a lot of the time).  We all go through it from time to time, and we all assume it’s because of our kids and work stress and not getting enough sleep. And unfortunately for some of us, these symptoms are compounded by more serious chronic conditions such as autoimmune disease or diabetes. But whether you’ve been diagnosed with a condition or not, chronic fatigue and daily anxiety are not normal and no way to live!

That's where food comes in! While there indeed is no "cure" for most autoimmune conditions and no magic pill for fatigue and anxiety, diet and lifestyle can have a powerful impact on your symptoms. Contact me for a free consultation so we can get started.  There’s no obligation, I’m always happy to meet new people and I’ll help you in any way I can.

conditions i can help with

You don't need to have a diagnosed "condition" to work with me. Better nutrition can help anyone looking to improve their energy levels, blood sugar levels, mental health, and overall wellness. I have additional training using diet and lifestyle to help manage autoimmune conditions such as Hashimoto's (also called autoimmune thyroiditis), Grave's disease, psoriasis, rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, celiac disease, and ulcerative colitis. To name a few....there are over 80 of them! I also work with clients with hypermobility whose issues significantly overlap with autoimmune disease.

How can nutrition be the answer to so many problems?

Our bodies are very complicated, and they have complicated needs.  They’re like Rube Goldberg machines.  Because they are so complicated, when their needs aren’t met, our bodies can backfire in peculiar and unexpected ways, causing everything from fatigue to brain fog to autoimmune disorders.

That’s what my training is all about, and I’m here to help you find your triggers so that you can still eat amazing foods but without the things that compromise your health.

Real Food and Bioindividuality.

It would be nice to be able to put a label on this and have a succinct and pat answer for everyone. But that doesn't exist. One person's individual health concerns may mean they need to focus on adding fiber to their diets while another may need to focus on adequate intake of high quality pasture raised animal products. Some people have a large list of medications they are taking that may act to deplete certain nutrients or which have interactions with foods we need to be careful of. Some people may even just need to focus on relaxing prior to their meals to allow digestion to work properly.

As a general rule though, I advocate whole, unprocessed, and nutrient dense foods in good balance. For auto-immune clients, I do rely heavily on the Auto-Immune Protocol Diet and Lifestyle (AIP).

Also....I don't believe in counting anything so you'll never hear me asking you to achieve a sub-2000 calorie day or to consume 30% of your calorie intake from carbs!

And always, always delicious foods!
